The Autism and Developmental Disabilities (A‚ÖÖ) Doctoral Program offers advanced research training through immersive learning experiences. Participants work directly with individuals affected by autism and developmental disabilities while gaining comprehensive instruction in teaching, research, and clinical practice. Our Tier-1 research institution delivers tailored mentorship alongside diverse clinical and research prospects to equip graduates for academic or clinical careers.
Completing the Ph.D. typically requires four years of dedicated full-time study. Candidates work closely with faculty advisors to design personalized academic plans that extend beyond core coursework. Doctoral students undertake dissertation research and professional development activities such as mentoring student teachers, presenting at conferences, publishing scholarly articles, and teaching undergraduate courses.
Students must have bachelor’s plus a master’s degree from an accredited institution in the U.S. or proof of equivalent training at a foreign institution.
The minimum scores considered acceptable for admission by the Graduate School are:
TOEFL: 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
