The Statistics Program provides Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees for advanced study and research in statistics and probability. Faculty research spans diverse areas including high-dimensional data analysis, statistical decision theory, biostatistics, stochastic modeling, robust methods, nonparametric and semiparametric inference, categorical data analysis, stochastic process theory, time series analysis, and spatial statistics. Students can focus on either applied or theoretical statistics by tailoring their course selection and research focus to create a personalized academic path. Designed with adaptability in mind, the Program accommodates students' varying backgrounds and interests. Additionally, it enables students from other fields to incorporate statistical coursework into their interdisciplinary studies.
