Advancement and utilization of superresolution microscopy and spectroscopy methods to visualize biological systems and key signaling pathways dynamically in living organisms and laboratory settings. Implementation of single-molecule approaches to study molecular targets for cancer therapeutics. The department provides doctoral and master's degree programs in Chemistry encompassing classical areas including analytical, biochemical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. Those pursuing biochemistry may participate in interdisciplinary programs combining biochemistry with molecular and cellular biology as well as toxicology studies.
