The Marine Policy (MS) master's program was established with the principle that successful policy implementation demands professionals who can bridge social and natural sciences, effectively communicating these concepts to resource stakeholders. Consequently, each student's curriculum is customized based on their academic history and professional background. Offered through the School of Marine Sciences, this Master of Science program leverages the institution's interdisciplinary strengths, catering to those passionate about integrating science with policymaking. While designed as a final degree, it doesn't preclude pursuing a Ph.D. later. This two-year program provides all participants with foundational knowledge in marine resource management's social dimensions, marine sciences, and empirical approaches. Students further specialize in either living marine resources or coastal management. The program accommodates both thesis and non-thesis pathways.
