Welcome to the University of Maine's Chemistry Department. As the sole institution in Maine providing both Ph.D. and M.S. programs in chemistry, we take great pride in our academic offerings. Most graduate students pursue Ph.D. studies, with first-year support typically coming from teaching assistantships. Research assistantships often become available starting in the second year. We ensure continuous financial support for all students maintaining satisfactory progress toward degree completion.
