Welcome to the University of Maine's Chemistry Department. As Maine's sole institution offering Ph.D. and M.S. chemistry degrees, we take great pride in our programs. Most graduate students pursue Ph.D. studies, with first-year support typically coming from teaching assistantships. Research assistantships often become available starting in the second year.
