This specialization allows students to assess and formulate environmental policies while accounting for biological and ecological factors, economic considerations, regulatory and non-regulatory sustainability strategies, and political dynamics. The program focuses on developing expertise in policy development, program assessment, and the real-world effects of environmental policy proposals.
Students pursuing this concentration must complete: ECO 450 International Environmental Economics and Policy (3 credits, see description), along with three additional policy-focused graduate courses (9 credits) from list A, plus two environmental analysis courses (6 credits) at the 400-level or above from list B. Any alternative coursework requires approval from the graduate coordinator.
