The Bachelor of Music in Performance program equips students with the skills needed for a professional music career. This degree covers various instrumental and vocal disciplines, including orchestral instruments, piano, voice, classical guitar, and pipe organ. The curriculum focuses on performance excellence while incorporating music theory, history, and liberal arts education.
Upon earning the B.M. in Music Performance, graduates will achieve the following:
Master theoretical knowledge and practical skills in music theory and aural training.
Acquire foundational conducting techniques.
Develop strong written communication abilities regarding music history topics.
Complete both a Junior Recital (45 minutes) and Senior Recital (60 minutes).
Exhibit comprehensive understanding of their instrument's repertoire and teaching methods.
