The Master of Science in School Psychology program, which includes the Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential, develops ethical and culturally aware school psychologists dedicated to fostering inclusive, safe, and diverse PK-12 educational settings where every child can succeed. Graduates gain expertise in mental health, psychoeducational evaluation, behavioral strategies, and learning methodologies to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth. This curriculum trains future professionals in consultation techniques, psychological interventions, leadership, and teamwork to address the evolving needs of diverse student populations, families, and school communities. The 64-unit master's program spans three years and offers flexible enrollment options at both La Verne and Bakersfield campuses.
The LaFetra College of Education holds accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, while the MS in School Psychology program is recognized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
