Art Studio offers two undergraduate degree options for students. The Bachelor of Arts (BA) program is designed for those seeking a versatile liberal arts foundation, preparing them for diverse career opportunities. Our graduates have pursued professions in photography, graphic design, art education, gallery curation, museum work, and various other fields.
The BA in Art Studio delivers a comprehensive, liberal arts-focused curriculum that has benefited alumni entering careers beyond conventional art disciplines. Students are advised to explore diverse subjects like English, Film Studies, History, Arts Administration, and Business Administration. Studio majors can specialize in a single medium or combine multiple artistic disciplines, including digital media with practical applications outside art, where students gain expertise in industry-standard software like Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. BA candidates showcase their final projects in a collective exhibition at the School of Art & Visual Studies Building Gallery before graduation.

Qualification Requirements
All secondary school and college/university level transcripts must be submitted for review. The transcripts must be official and in your native language.
You will also need to provide another official transcript that has been translated into English by your secondary school or college/university.
College/university transcripts from institutions outside of the United States will be evaluated for transfer credit by our office.
The University of Kentucky accepts official TOEFL and IELTS results from the testing headquarters.
The minimum TOEFL score of 71 (iBT), 197 (cbt) or 527 (paper-based) or a minimum score of 6.0 on the IELTS is required for admission to the University of Kentucky.
