The Communication Studies bachelor's program prepares students with versatile skills by examining communication across different cultural settings, such as interpersonal, corporate, cross-cultural, governmental, and other spheres.
In today's interconnected world, effective communication skills are essential for professional growth, personal connections, and civic engagement. Research shows: human interaction depends on communication, where generating and interpreting symbols, language, and messages plays a vital role in daily exchanges. Simply put, communication bridges people together.
The program builds upon core public speaking concepts from introductory classes by focusing on theories, approaches, and practical applications relevant to routine communication scenarios.
Admission will be granted to students who meet the following standard:
A minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all previous coursework, including transfer coursework.
English Proficiency:
TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition: 79 (18 minimum subscore)
TOEFL paper-delivered test: 60 (18 minimum subscore)
IELTS: 6.5 (6.0 minimum subscore)
PTE Academic: 53
