Faith influences how individuals perceive reality and their role within it. It molds emotions, expands horizons of possibility, and guides interpersonal relationships. Religious traditions and concepts intersect with all facets of contemporary society and cultural expression.
The Religious Studies major equips learners with analytical abilities and competencies to succeed in our globally connected environment. Our academic department focuses on generating fresh insights about global faith traditions. The curriculum explores both regional and worldwide religious movements, timeless and emerging moral questions, novel interpretations of sacred histories, and creative methodologies for examining ancient scriptures.
Our programs encourage students to approach religion through innovative lenses, examining its multifaceted nature, its impact on personal lives, and its influence on societal structures.
Learners can combine religious scholarship with other disciplines including creative arts, governance, legal systems, global affairs, healthcare, historical research, behavioral science, or commerce. Numerous students opt for dual majors pairing Religious Studies with another field or choose it as a minor alongside their primary academic focus.
