The School of Education takes pride in enhancing its established legacy of training exceptional educators by pioneering a groundbreaking interdisciplinary Elementary Education STEM program. This forward-thinking, original approach to teacher preparation stands unmatched nationwide.
Participants will engage in K-6 school settings throughout every semester, culminating in a comprehensive student teaching placement. These classroom experiences directly align with university coursework. As participants gain greater insight into teaching methodologies and content, their instructional responsibilities with elementary students progressively expand.
The University of Indianapolis School of Education fosters robust collaborations with numerous school districts. This enables participants to gain exposure to diverse educational environments, institutions, and grade levels. These varied experiences showcase different instructional approaches for teaching student populations with varying needs.
EXCEPTIONAL EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES
Elementary Education graduates have achieved perfect employment rates for three consecutive years. While many graduates secure teaching positions within Indiana, others pursue opportunities beyond state borders.
Students must have official high school graduation documents and transcripts.
