The College of Applied Health Sciences aims to drive research, education, and community involvement that fosters healthy, sustainable communities, enhances quality of life for individuals with disabilities, and supports wellness across all ages and diverse populations. To earn an M.S. degree, candidates must complete at least one on-campus semester and a minimum of 36 graduate credit hours. Students can choose between a thesis or non-thesis track to meet program requirements. The thesis path includes 12 credits of RST core courses, a 4-credit critical issues class, 8 credits of research methods, 8 elective credits, and 4 thesis credits. The non-thesis alternative requires 20 RST core credits, a 4-credit critical issues course, and 12 elective credits. Full-time students typically finish the program in three to four semesters.
