Hold (or, at the end of the current academic year, be a candidate for) a baccalaureate degree in physics or a related field from an accredited college or university in the United States or from an approved institution of higher learning abroad.Have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale of A = 4.0, computed for the last 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of undergraduate work and a minimum GPA of 3.5 for previous graduate degree work, as required by the Graduate College.
