The iSchool's dual-degree programs offer the adaptability required to customize your education based on your aspirations and professional objectives. They also increase your exposure to diverse courses, academic resources, and industry connections. These advantages help you enhance both your capabilities and professional relationships to excel in your chosen field. In collaboration with the School of Information Sciences (iSchool), the history department has introduced an interdisciplinary master's program culminating in both a Master of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science. This dual-degree initiative combines historical research and writing proficiency with professional training, equipping graduates for roles in archives, libraries, museums, historical organizations, businesses, and government institutions. The program requires completion of 56 credit hours total (with most graduate courses being 4 credits), evenly split between History and LIS coursework (28 credits each, with a maximum of 12 credits counting toward both degrees).
