Medical informatics focuses on comprehensively understanding and enhancing how health information is organized, analyzed, managed, and utilized. The program prioritizes health information technology. Traditionally, Medical Informatics has strengthened hospital acute care through electronic medical record systems. Health Informatics, a more recent field, extends to managing chronic care information in home settings, especially through personal health records. This program assists students in studying healthcare systems, particularly for managing widespread chronic conditions. It covers national healthcare frameworks, including the creation of transferable health records. Additionally, we support students exploring public health topics like managing infectious disease outbreaks across populations.
