The Illinois School of Architecture (ISoA) offers a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies (BSAS) program that blends rigorous design training with a wide-ranging outlook to cultivate globally aware individuals. Students develop skills to tackle future challenges spanning social, political, economic, and environmental dimensions. The four-year BSAS program builds upon fundamental two- and three-dimensional design principles, complemented by coursework in technology, history, and structural systems - equipping graduates to either continue into a two-year NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture program or pursue advanced studies in related fields. With exceptional access to campus-wide electives and minors, students can explore interdisciplinary connections across the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's 150+ undergraduate programs. The ISoA fosters innovative thinking at the intersection of architecture and other disciplines. Through the BSAS curriculum, students gain valuable design methodologies, technical competencies, and analytical abilities that are highly valued across various industries and modern design practices. An Illinois BSAS degree prepares graduates to conceptualize and implement visionary solutions for tomorrow's built environments.
