The Bachelor of Music in Musicology program delivers an extensive cultural education, blending academic learning with musical instruction. It equips students with the foundational knowledge needed for advanced studies in music history or ethnomusicology research and teaching. This degree features in-depth coursework covering both Western and non-Western musical traditions. To earn the BM in Musicology, students must fulfill the standard Bachelor of Music requirements, including general education classes and the BM Music Core curriculum. They also complete the Musicology Core along with advisor-approved electives, totaling a minimum of 130 credit hours. Admission to the BM in Musicology program requires successful completion of an audition for applied study placement.
