The Latina/Latino Studies undergraduate program examines the U.S. Latino community's history and contemporary realities. This interdisciplinary major offers comprehensive theoretical frameworks and research methods for analyzing Latino experiences. The curriculum requires 34 credit hours of core and elective classes, plus at least 18 additional credits in complementary coursework or an external minor. Graduates gain strong foundations for advanced academic pursuits or professional paths in education, social services, legal fields, public administration, and other areas serving Latino populations.
