The Educational Leadership Program develops future leaders who work together to enhance education across diverse settings.
Students accomplish this by taking on leadership roles in schools and classrooms, conducting research on educational leadership, aligning with state/national standards and reform efforts, and refining practices in learning environments.
The MA in Educational Leadership (MA-EDL) provides educators with administrative skills for K-12 schools, colleges, and education-related institutions. Many students opt to earn their Principal Administrative Endorsement while completing MA-EDL requirements, with this certification program approved by Illinois' State Board of Education.
This program combines academic study with hands-on practice, focusing on the thoughtful, inclusive, and principled dimensions of educational leadership. Participants engage in coursework, fieldwork, research projects, and final capstone experiences.
The Educational Leadership M.A. supports Illinois educators in advancing their professional skills and meeting ongoing development requirements.
