Reflecting the field's interdisciplinary approach, UIC's MPA faculty bring expertise across numerous disciplines. Their academic backgrounds and research span diverse relevant domains such as law, management, political science, statistics, research methodologies, survey research, sociology, economics, business, organizational theory, decision science, human resources, budgeting, finance, and information technology. The core faculty is enhanced by accomplished adjunct professors who are active leaders in public policy, law, and administration.
The Public Management curriculum features studies in organizational theory, public administration, cutting-edge management techniques, program assessment, and specialized courses covering decision processes, strategic management, and leadership development.
