Social entrepreneurship (SE) involves innovative approaches to tackling societal challenges, whether through purpose-driven businesses, nonprofits, or hybrid models. SE emphasizes creativity and mission-driven solutions, fostering change via novel ideas, partnerships, and emerging possibilities.
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a Social Entrepreneurship focus equips future leaders for public service roles. This curriculum builds expertise in public policy, organizational dynamics, nonprofit management, and data-driven decision-making. Cultivating analytical abilities and initiative are central to the MPA experience.
The MPA-SE track might suit you if: You aim to leverage public and nonprofit sector insights to solve social issues while incorporating business strategies.
Potential applications include advancing literacy through book-based initiatives or transforming vacant properties into homeless shelters.
Students should have a bachelor’s degree completion.
For other international students, the English language requirement of SAU will be met when the applicant has submitted proof of one of the following:
A score of 550 or higher on the written TOEFL
A score of 210 or higher on the computerized TOEFL
A score of 79 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL
A score of Band 6.0 (overall) on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
Completion of Level 112 at an ELS Language Center or its equivalent
Completion of EF Level 5
Completion of level 5 SAU ESL program
