The MCS program cultivates logical reasoning and analytical skills while establishing core competencies for cutting-edge computing careers. It focuses on computer science's mathematical foundations and computational techniques, blending practical applications with theoretical concepts like numerical analysis, high-performance computing, programming paradigms, algorithm design, computational complexity, cryptography, discrete mathematics, and network theory. This program targets students pursuing careers in computational systems or mathematical computing, offering two specialization tracks: Algorithmic Theory and Mathematical Computation.
Please note: Although this degree is awarded as a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences, the MCS course designation refers specifically to Mathematical Computer Science.
First-year applicants are currently enrolled in high school or have not attended college since graduation.
