To excel in the classroom, secondary educators require a distinct set of skills that prepares them to instruct adolescent learners while also providing substantial expertise in their selected discipline, such as science, mathematics, English, history, art, or another field.
This curriculum offers the most current approaches, techniques, resources, and educational technologies for teaching students in grades six through twelve. You will study adolescent development and psychology and acquire comprehensive knowledge in your chosen teaching subject. Additionally, you will obtain practical classroom experience through a semester of supervised student teaching alongside an experienced educator.
Teacher certification, mandatory for public school instruction, differs by state. After finishing your coursework, you will qualify to take the certification examination for the state where you intend to teach.

Qualification Requirements
Students must have 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale is required from secondary school. They must meet criteria for admission to university level study in home country. They should also satisfy the following English language requirements:
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) minimum score of 525 on the paper test or 70 on the Internet-based test
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) minimum score of 6.0
- Pearson (PTE) Academic score of 48
- ELS Language Centers, pass of Level 112
- Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English), pass
- Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English), pass
- Cambridge International "O" Levels, pass
- English proficiency demonstration is waived for any applicant who has a previous degree at an accredited U.S. institution
