Our faculty's core research focuses on creating and processing materials, both polymeric and biopolymeric, with tailored electrical, optical, or mechanical characteristics. We study the fundamental formation processes that determine these materials' unique behaviors. Additionally, researchers investigate plasma processing techniques and nanopantography for large-scale, parallel nanopatterning across extensive surfaces.

Students with BS can apply directly to the PhD program.
Minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (based on 4.0), accepted students typically are in the top 10% of class (3.35 or better based on 4.0)
Accepted students typically have total GRE score 300 or better (Quantitative of 155 or better).
TOEFL- Internet based Test (iBT)- An overall score of 79 or higher.
Paper-based Test (pBT)- An overall score of 550 or higher.
