Catalysis, which accelerates chemical reactions while also enabling the engineering of processes to create biofuels and other valuable products, represents a key research strength among our faculty. Our researchers consistently uncover enhanced catalytic materials and chemical methods while deepening insights into molecular-scale reaction mechanisms. Investigations into multifunctional reactors and their applications in energy and environmental sectors—such as membrane reactors and adsorption-based systems—have optimized chemical processes, enhanced safety protocols, and minimized unwanted byproducts.
