The Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Sports offers a holistic, interdisciplinary framework for advancing wellness throughout life stages and in various environments. This program combines studies in kinesiology, nutrition, and health sciences with an emphasis on psychological and sociological dimensions of fitness, particularly its role in urban communities. The curriculum features multiple hands-on practicum courses providing pre-professional training in both individual and team-based physical activities applicable across diverse contexts.
Upon graduation from the fitness and sports program, students will:
Understand human body systems through the synthesis of physiological, psychological, sociological, and environmental factors.
Develop competency in evaluating body composition, nutritional habits, exercise patterns, and fitness metrics.
Acquire the ability to create, execute, and assess comprehensive fitness and sports initiatives.
