The Master of Arts in Dance Plan A focuses on performance studies research within dance. This program mandates at least 36 credit hours, covering DNCE 617, 651, 652, 654 or 655, 673, and 700 (6 credits), 3 credits in 400-level Asian or Pacific performance courses, 6 credits of related electives, 3 credits of dance electives, and 3 credits of general electives. All elective choices should directly support thesis research. Additionally, students must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language pertinent to their research by either passing an exam or completing four semesters of language study.
