Information Systems and Technologies are revolutionizing modern businesses in today's digital era. The Information Technology Management (ITM) Department leads academic initiatives at Shidler College of Business, developing cutting-edge undergraduate and graduate programs that equip students for success in our technology-driven world. Through both theoretical and practical research, the department generates and shares expertise in IT design, implementation, and administration.
Students can pursue an undergraduate Management of Information Systems degree, MBA-level Information Systems electives, a PhD in Business Administration concentration, or an interdisciplinary PhD in Communication and Information Systems. The department also provides professional seminars and executive education programs for industry professionals.
Beginning Fall 2020, we introduced an intensive 12-month Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program with 30 credits, specializing in business intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Qualified ITM (MIS) BBA majors can complete this program through an accelerated 4+1 pathway.
Nationally recognized for research excellence, our department features faculty experts in decision sciences, technology's organizational effects, system development, database administration, healthcare IT, neural information systems, digital commerce, and emergency management technologies.
