The Master of Music in Vocal Performance offers experienced students comprehensive vocal training and academic coursework to prepare for professional performance and teaching careers. This program centers on rigorous one-on-one vocal instruction, personal coaching, language studies, lyric diction with comparative analysis, stimulating academic courses, graduate vocal seminars, and solo performance opportunities with choirs and orchestras. The graduate vocal seminar specifically trains emerging singers for auditions at young artist programs, opera companies, and oratorio performances, while also requiring two annual graduate recitals.
Vocal technique and musical artistry form the foundation of our curriculum. The program features private voice instruction, coaching sessions, vocal pedagogy, language and diction courses, opera performance techniques, and an engaging core music curriculum.
