The collaboration between the Barney School of Business and the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) offers engineers a wider perspective as they transition into management and leadership roles. This dual-degree program demands 60 credits in total—6 credits less than pursuing each degree independently. Students can simultaneously achieve a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). As Connecticut's inaugural program of its kind, it welcomes both full- and part-time graduate students. To receive both degrees, participants must fulfill all academic requirements in both the Barney School and CETA. The degrees are conferred together, even if coursework for one school is finished earlier than the other. The E2M initiative stands as Connecticut's first combined engineering and management dual-degree program, allowing graduate engineering students, whether full- or part-time, to obtain both an M.Eng. and an M.B.A. by completing 63 credits—18 fewer than if pursued separately. Featuring four distinct engineering specializations, the E2M program balances flexibility with efficiency.
