The Exercise Science bachelor's program equips you for diverse career paths in sports medicine, personal training, and strength coaching, while also laying the foundation for advanced studies in fields like physical therapy, athletic training, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and public health. This program blends academic coursework, hands-on lab work, and practical internships to provide a thorough grasp of human performance, fitness, and physical wellness. You'll develop skills to evaluate metabolic, cardiovascular, and respiratory functions, and create customized fitness programs to enhance clients' health.
Through specialized internships, you'll gain real-world experience in sports medicine, strength training, personal fitness instruction, or clinical research. As a University of Hartford student, you may collaborate with collegiate athletic teams during these practical experiences. Graduates become eligible to pursue professional certifications from various accrediting bodies. Additionally, this undergraduate program serves as a direct pathway to the University's combined BS/Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program.
You can apply if you are currently enrolled in high school or secondary school, or if you have completed high school or secondary school, but have not started a degree.
You will be required to present the following results: 2.75 (out of 4.0); 3.75 (out of 5.0); 80% (out of 100); 70% (out of 100) India/Canada.
