For those passionate about mathematics and teaching, you can begin classroom instruction as early as your first semester. Our campus features two specialized magnet schools, allowing you to develop teaching abilities across both elementary and secondary education levels. These opportunities pave the way for: Internship positions, Professional training programs, Supervised teaching experiences The BA in Mathematics with Secondary Education Certification combines in-depth mathematical study with hands-on teaching preparation. Teaching skills are cultivated through multiple semesters of progressively demanding field experiences in K-12 public schools. Graduates of this program will: Master and implement mathematical problem-solving techniques. Construct logical mathematical proofs and cultivate an understanding of formal mathematical reasoning. Effectively convey mathematical concepts through verbal and written communication to various audiences. Identify and leverage connections between mathematical principles and real-world applications to enhance comprehension. Employ diverse instructional methods to reinforce and expand students' mathematical knowledge.
You can apply if you are currently enrolled in high school or secondary school, or if you have completed high school or secondary school, but have not started a degree.
You will be required to present the following results: 2.75 (out of 4.0); 3.75 (out of 5.0); 80% (out of 100); 70% (out of 100) India/Canada.
