Our program combines teaching with cutting-edge research in textile fiber and polymer science, merchandising and global trade, consumer psychology, historical and cultural studies of apparel and textiles, as well as residential interior design solutions. The Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Interiors provides both Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degree options. M.S. candidates can specialize in historical/cultural dress studies, merchandising, interior design, or polymer, fiber & textile science. Participants engage in academic research while building professional skills applicable to corporate, governmental, and educational settings. The M.S. curriculum allows customized course selection to align with diverse career objectives, culminating in a required thesis.
