Individuals holding a professional Interior Design degree from a CIDA-accredited program or a NAAB-accredited architecture program may qualify for the post-professional Master of Interior Design degree.
This MID program fosters fundamental research, specialized studies, and focused exploration within the discipline. The curriculum critically examines conventional perspectives on interior design's influence in shaping built environments.
Participants in this advanced degree program undertake core Interior Design courses while pursuing independent research aligned with their personal interests. The program includes a design studio component featuring travel and collaboration with renowned scholars. Completion requires either a written thesis advancing interior design knowledge or a master-level design studio project.
This degree program is open to qualified applicants who hold baccalaureate degrees in any discipline without a prior professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
The minimum scores considered acceptable for admission by the Graduate School are:
TOEFL: 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
