The M.S. Thesis program mandates at least 30 graduate credit hours, including 9 core credits covering Biological Oceanography (MARS 8010), Chemical Oceanography (MARS 8020), and Physical Oceanography (MARS 8030). Students can supplement their curriculum with elective graduate courses from Marine Sciences and related departments. The program culminates with an original research project, requiring students to produce and defend a thesis.
