The M.Ed. in TESOL and World Language Education equips students to teach English or other languages across diverse educational environments, including K-12 schools, higher education institutions, language academies, and community organizations. Through interdisciplinary coursework and hands-on field experiences, students gain specialized skills for teaching linguistically diverse learners both domestically and internationally. Graduates emerge with comprehensive knowledge of multilingual education systems and practical strategies for supporting students of various age groups facing language-learning challenges.
Our department boasts a multicultural community of students and faculty, with annual enrollment of international scholars from across Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the U.S. Students learn from globally recognized faculty whose expertise spans second language acquisition, literacy studies, instructional design, teaching methodologies, bilingual cognitive development, classroom interaction analysis, and arts-integrated research approaches, among other specialized fields.
