Get ready to build a career helping students in elementary, middle, and high schools through our combined MEd/EdS in Professional Counseling with a School Counseling focus.
Our program develops skilled practitioners and researchers for educational environments. This full-time, nationally recognized program includes coursework that fulfills certification and licensure requirements.
Earning this dual degree makes you eligible for Georgia's initial school counselor certification (S-6). Licensure requires additional supervised counseling hours and passing an examination.
Our CACREP-accredited school counseling program ranked #2 nationally in 2018 (U.S. News and World Report). Through collaborations with local school districts and HRSA, we provide specialized training in integrative behavioral health for selected students, equipping them to implement these services in schools. Program fellows will receive a $10,000 stipend during their second-year internship. Eight fellowships will be available for the 2019-2020 academic year.
