The Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication provides two advanced degree options for those pursuing academic or professional paths: a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy.
Our M.A. curriculum focuses on combining mass communication theory with research methodologies, analytical reasoning, and strategic decision-making, equipping students for careers or further education in fields like advertising, journalism, media studies, public relations, and telecommunications.
Both master's and Ph.D. candidates start their programs in the fall. Selection considers undergraduate academic performance, GRE scores, personal statements, recommendation letters, along with relevant professional background and scholarly achievements.
