The Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication provides two advanced degree options for students pursuing professional or academic paths: a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy.
The M.A. curriculum focuses on combining mass communication theory, research methodologies, strategic decision-making, and analytical skills, equipping students for either continued education or careers in fields like advertising, journalism, media studies, public relations, and telecommunications.
Both master's and Ph.D. candidates start their programs in the fall. Selection considers undergraduate GPA, GRE scores, personal statements, recommendation letters, along with relevant work experience and academic achievements.
