Our department provides advanced degree programs in Interpersonal & Health Communication and Rhetorical Studies. Through our Double Dawg, Master's, and Doctoral programs, students explore communication in personal, public, and political contexts, preparing for both professional and academic pathways.

The Department of Communication Studies (previously known as Speech Communication) grants MA and PhD degrees. Students specialize in either Interpersonal & Health Communication or Rhetorical Studies.
