The Computer Science Department boasts a dynamic team of innovative professors engaged in diverse, cutting-edge research fields within computer science. In recent years, both faculty expertise and graduate student caliber have seen remarkable growth. The department has established multiple specialized research groups and laboratories, many of which secure substantial external funding. Key areas of excellence encompass theoretical foundations, systems development, information systems, and AI technologies.
The graduate curriculum requires completion of 33 semester hours, structured as follows: 10 hours of foundational core courses, a minimum of 20 hours from advanced CSCI 6000- or 8000-level courses, and 3 hours dedicated to a technical report. No foreign language proficiency is mandated. To suit varying professional aspirations, alternative program configurations are offered through collaborating departments.
