The graduate atmospheric sciences program aims to cultivate advanced scholars in this field. It welcomes students from diverse backgrounds including agricultural, biological, earth sciences, ecology, engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, and environmental health.
Through the graduate certificate program, students can pursue specialized research and study in atmospheric sciences. This program also enables graduate students to formally record their academic accomplishments and expertise in atmospheric sciences beyond their primary degree focus.
Admission to the Atmospheric Sciences Certificate Program is available to graduate students working toward M.S. or Ph.D. degrees in programs within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, School of Forestry and Natural Resources, or College of Public Health, subject to approval from their primary advisor. Earning the certificate requires completion of 18 semester hours of graduate-level coursework.
