The Bachelor of Science program equips students with expertise in data interpretation, statistical principles, computational methods, and effective communication—essential competencies for deriving insights from information. Graduates with a statistics specialization gain versatile quantitative abilities, positioning them for diverse professional opportunities or advanced academic pursuits in Statistics and related fields. The B.S. in Statistics curriculum aligns with American Statistical Association standards, offering two concentration paths: Data Analysis for immediate career readiness or Mathematical Statistics for graduate study preparation. Our growing program reflects UGA students' recognition of statistics' significance, evidenced by expanding enrollment with about 100 majors and numerous minors.

UGA's Statistics program cultivates career-ready professionals by honing analytical capabilities, research methodologies, and communication techniques while exploring both foundational and cutting-edge statistical concepts.
