The Bachelor of Science in Education (BSEd) with a focus on Mathematics Education equips students to instruct math for middle and high school levels (Grades 6-12). This curriculum blends mathematical and statistical studies with specialized training in secondary education pedagogy. Throughout the program, participants gain hands-on experience through regular placements in nearby schools. Upon completion, graduates qualify for Georgia's preliminary teaching credentials. Additionally, we collaborate with the Mathematics Department to provide a combined degree option—earning both a BSEd in Mathematics Education and a BS in Mathematics simultaneously. For details on this dual degree opportunity, select the Dual Degree option listed under the BSEd section above.
