String majors and minors can anticipate:

Schedule an Audition
Select one of the audition dates and submit the audition form or arrange for an alternative date with faculty.
All graduate master's performance applicants will need to audition. Arriving to campus for a live audition is preferred, but if that is not possible, you may arrange for an alternative date directly with faculty.
The application contains 5 sections:

Statement of purpose to share your objectives in pursuing a graduate degree, your area of specialization, interest in studying with faculty at the University of Florida, and your long-term goals.

Letters of recommendation - THREE (3) required letters of recommendation from faculty or professionals who can speak to your ability to be successful in a graduate program. This is completed electronically within the application. You will need your recommenders' email addresses and plan enough time for them to receive and respond to the University request. More information and directions are provided as you complete the online application.

R'sum or curriculum vitae - Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or r'sum. There is no additional GA required application form as we use the r'sum for this purpose as well.

GPA - use the calculator by entering earned grades as they appear on your transcript - grades from your upper-division courses (junior/senior years), read the directions carefully to complete this section.

Unofficial transcripts - for the purpose of initial review upload unofficial, scanned copies of transcripts (not screenshots of grades), official transcripts are required separately for applicants who receive an offer of admissions.
Applicants with a bachelor's degree only, a minimum grade point average of B (3.0), calculated from all grades and credits after the semester where the applicant reached 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours is required. For applicants from countries where English is not the ofcial language, a minimum score on one of these English Language Skills tests, IELTS - 6.0,TOEFL IBT- 80, PBT- 550.
