The Indigenous Studies specialization offers students access to courses exploring ethical, theoretical, and practical perspectives on Indigenous communities and issues. The program features diverse learning opportunities including classes, seminars, and workshops addressing subjects like government relations with Indigenous groups, activism, political engagement, environmental stewardship, legal rights, plant knowledge systems, cultural practices, and research methods. Qualification Requirements

Applicants with a bachelor's degree only, a minimum grade point average of B (3.0), calculated from all grades and credits after the semester where the applicant reached 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours is required. For applicants from countries where English is not the ofcial language, a minimum score on one of these English Language Skills tests, IELTS - 6.0,TOEFL IBT- 80, PBT- 550.
Background and interest in Latin America demonstrated through coursework, study abroad, work or volunteer experience, or other.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
3.0 GPA in all upper-division undergraduate coursework.
Minimal proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole.
For international applicants and applicants from Puerto Rico: satisfactory scores on the IELTS (6), MELAB (77) or TOEFL (550/213/80).
