Qualification Requirements

The Public Health, Health Services Research concentration (PH-HSR) Ph.D. adheres to the minimum standards set forth by the University of Florida Graduate School, including:

A grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (4-point system) for the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework based on the semester system.
A recognized baccalaureate, graduate or professional degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a comparable degree from an international institution.
International applicants: English proficiency exam, such as a minimal score of 80 on the TOEFL or minimum of 6 on the IELTS. Visit the UF Admissions site for a list of countries that are exempt from this requirement. However, our requirements may be above this minimum standard.
Submission of all required application materials

For applicants from countries where English is not the ofcial language, a minimum score on one of these English Language Skills tests, IELTS - 6.0,TOEFL IBT- 80, PBT- 550.
