Alumni access diverse career paths across hospitality venues, leisure destinations, culinary establishments, travel services, corporate events, and entertainment sectors spanning music, festivals, fashion, and attractions. The coursework additionally lays the groundwork for advanced studies in related disciplines or business administration.
To obtain a Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management, students must satisfactorily finish general education requirements, core major classes, and specialized professional courses. The curriculum begins with fundamental courses establishing disciplinary groundwork, followed by concentration choices: Tourism and Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a General track. Students complete either a mandatory 13-week internship after coursework or an Academic Pathway (for eligible candidates), both contributing to the 120-credit graduation requirement. Professionals with relevant industry experience (in supervisory or permanent roles) may replace the internship with five departmental electives spread across terms. Those pursuing the academic alternative must submit during their junior year: 1) declaration form, 2) updated resume, and 3) a narrative detailing career objectives and how prior industry exposure aligns with their professional aspirations.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
